At Syðri-Þverá, activities are designed to slow you down and bring you closer to nature, simplicity, creativity and to the Icelandic culture and history.

Set on a historic family farm in the Vatnsnes and Vesturhóp region, our small-scale, guided activities invite you to experience Iceland beyond sightseeing, through movement, making, walking and shared moments.

Syðri-Þverá Guesthouse is currently developing nature-based experiences including guided hikes and various themed activities covering creativity, culture, history and mindfulness—all as part of a nature retreat defined by slow down and relaxation on the Vatnsnes peninsula.

Markþjálfunartími hjá Þorbjörgu Ingu markþjálfa er innifalinn fyrir hvern og einn. Markþjálfun er ákveðið form af samtalstækni sem hugsuð er fyrir markþegann til að spegla og tengjast sínu eigin innsæi og sínum eigin kjarna enn betur.

Til að leita eftir dýpri tengingu og aukinni meðvitund er hér fléttað saman gönguferðum og kyrrðarstundum í ósnortinni náttúru við slökun og hugleiðslu auk einkamarkþjálfunartíma. Með því opnast möguleiki fyrir þig að beina athyglinni til að sjá þína eigin lausn, leið og þá líðan sem þú leitast eftir að vilja og velja í lífinu. Svör hvers og eins finnast oft í sterkari innri tengingu og dýpri eigin meðvitund.

Heiðargötur | A Historic Mountain Crossing

Follow the ancient Heiðargötur route across the Vatnsnesfjall mountain range, once the main lifeline connecting farms across the peninsula. This 5–6 hour guided hike unfolds through gorges, waterfalls and open highlands.

From the highest point, sweeping views open across Vatnsnes, its coastline and distant landscapes. A journey through history, landscape and space. Combining physical movement with quiet immersion in Icelandic nature.

Earthing in Nature | Reconnect your Roots

Slow down and reconnect with your inner self through guided walks, moments of stillness, relaxation, and simply being present in the open landscapes surrounding Syðri-Þverá. The focus is on grounding yourself and finding calm and balance with rooting and balancing yourself through nature.

Women’s Poetry Walks | Iceland’s Female History
